The Global Survey of Circumcision Harm is open to any man age 18 or older who was circumcised as a child and believes or knows he was harmed by circumcision.
The respondent must have a computer and an internet connection. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.
Statistical results from the survey will be compiled and periodically posted to this website. No personally identifying data will be posted.
To help men to better identify their own harm, the survey includes photos of normal intact male genitalia and sample photos of physical harm.
Some of the questions that will be asked include:
demographic data (age, race, religion, education level, sexual orientation, relationship status, etc)
assessment of respondent's own knowledge of intact male genital anatomy and understanding of how to identify circumcision damage.
details of harm experienced (physical, sexual, psychological, self-esteem)
respondent's level of disclosure of harm to others (parents, friends, professionals)
respondent's level of familiarity with foreskin restoration
respondent's beliefs about appropriate action to be taken against circumcisers.
respondent's willingness to offer personal/video testimony of their harm.
At the end of the survey respondents will have an opportunity to upload photos of their own physical harm. Respondents will also have the opportunity to download and print a copy of their survey responses.
THIS SURVEY WAS CLOSED IN SEPTEMBER 2012. View Results.
